It's fair and rodeo time in Kittitas County, which means a large number of visitors to the area! While Ellensburg becomes inundated with rodeo enthusiasts and fairgoers, hotel rooms get snatched up quickly. By staying in Cle Elum, you and your family can rest in comfort and enjoy a short drive into Ellensburg for the festivities!
Fair-time Festivities
From September 1st through the 5th, enjoy all that the Kittitas County Fair has to offer. Large livestock and animal barns will be open during fair hours for perusing, and showrooms will be full of local crafts, baked goods, art and more. Pick out penny candy and pan for gold in the Frontier Village, and then take a seat in front of the pavilion for live music and unique shows.
While the kids are gorging on elephant ears and making loops on the Ferris wheel, parents can enjoy an ice-cold beer or glass of wine in the beer garden. Live music will keep the adults entertained until it's time for the family to join for the nightly rodeo.
We're on the National Rodeo Circuit
The Ellensburg Rodeo is one of the top ten rodeos in America, and hosts the PRCA's Xtreme Bulls World Finale on Saturday night. Grab your seat in the packed stands and witness bull riding, barrel racing, wild cow milking, multiple entertainment acts and more. Live music can be found in the "Behind the Chutes" beer garden, where locals and visitors mingle to dance the night away.
