Visitors to Cle Elum rarely catch a March full of Easter bunnies and dyed eggs, yet here we are! Downtown businesses are ready to share their Easter treats and events with newcomers and locals alike.
Baked Treats at the Cle Elum Bakery
One step into this historic bakery and you are overcome with the scents of freshly baked bread, gooey cinnamon buns and brewing coffee. Stop in before your Easter festivities to order Bavarian Creme Sponge Cake Eggs, or pick up an order of hot cross buns and dinner rolls for brunch in the mountains.
Brunch around Town, or Stock up on Local Delicacies
Multiple eateries downtown will be featuring special menu items and Easter festivities. On Sunday, March 27th, reserve your seat for the Easter brunch at Swiftwater Cellars from 11am to 3pm and get a special visit from the Easter Bunny! For travel-ready Easter fare, visit Glondo's Sausage Co. Sample chocolate Easter eggs imported from Italy, or pick up traditional Italian Easter bread, Colomba Pasquale. Both Glondo's and Owens Meats accept orders for scrumptious Easter hams and cured meats while supplies last, so be sure to stop in at both shops!
Hunt Easter Eggs by Day or by Night!
Suncadia Resort is hosting their 11th annual "Community Easter Egg Hunt" on the lush lawns of Dawson Park. At 9:30 on Sunday morning, youngsters will have their chance to pick up prize and candy-filled eggs along the play structure and surrounding grassy areas.
If you and your crew are 12 or older, then get ready for a thrilling late-night Easter egg hunt by flashlight! On Saturday, March 26th visitors and community members will get a chance for big prizes such as accommodations for a week in Mexico, a 50" flat screen TV and even a Kindle! Prizes will be in every "egg" balloon, so break from tradition and support your favorite Cle Elum organizations!
