Don't forget to take advantage of free entrance to public lands on Sept. 22 in celebration of National Public Lands Day!
Here are four ways you can enjoy public lands this month.
1. Hunting
a. For fans of hunting try elk hunting on the Cle Elum Ridge just north of Cle Elum. Get out into the wilderness, breath in the fresh air, and work up a sweat and hopefully leave with a great reward. Learn more about rules and regulations

a. Wenatchee National Forest -- South Fork Meadow Trailhead.
b. For the hiking enthusiast try the Taneum Ridge -- Fishhook Flats hike. Located in beautiful forest land, this 14 mile hike is not for the feint of heart. Keep an eye out for elk or mule dear as they can frequently be seen in
this area.
4. Camping

Salmon La Sac Campground -- Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest
b. This campground is equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings and grills, drinking water, and toilets. There is so much to do in this campgrounds backyard. Explore the Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest.
