Hollow clay tile construction and two interior skylights distinguished this post-fire storefront. The striated brown brick faCade and cast concrete cornice remain intact, as do the transom windows above the entrance. A "dry goods, notions, and clothing" store occupied the premises before the J.C. Penney chain moved in around 1940.
