1910
The two-story Kinney-Skinner Building boasts two intact storefronts with original glass. An historic example of commercial structures in central Washington, it originally housed the Cle Elum Mercantile (J.W. Kinney), which became the Cle Elum Co-Operative Society and then Schele's Grocery. Suite 108 served as a hardware store from 1910-1998, while suite 110 was Jamie's Depot for many years. The second floor housed the Hotel Royal, which became the American Red Cross headquarters during World War II. After the hotel closed in the 1950s, the upper floor was used as storage.
