Ski the Slopes of Snoqualmie Pass

The Summit at Snoqualmie offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the state, with over 25 available lifts. This convenient outdoor escape provides a full day of fun, whether your family is already familiar with snow sports or not. Lessons are available for all ages and are a great opportunity for your kiddo to either learn technique or hone in on existing skills. Sign them up for a session in the morning, then spend the rest of the day exploring the slopes together!

If skiing or snowboarding is too big a feat for your little ones, the mountain also offers a fun tubing hill with over 20 lanes to enjoy! You may also opt to simply take in the stunning views and enjoy a warm drink in the lodge. Plus, Summit Pancake House is located at the base of the mountain and is a favorite destination for delicious flapjacks!

Play in the Snow in Local Parks

Grab some hot cocoa from one of the coffee shops scattered around town and select a local park to visit for some fun in the snow! The kiddos will love building a snowman, sledding, or just taking a stroll through the snow-capped trees. Some of the nearby favorite parks include City Park, Fireman's Park, Centennial Park, and Memorial Park.

Explore Coal Mines Trail on Cross-Country Skis or Snowshoes

Trek through the snow for a fun outdoor workout this winter! Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are fairly easy activities and can be done on trails that range from easy to difficult. One of our area's favorites is Coal Mines Trail, a mild hike spanning from Cle Elum, through Roslyn, and into Ronald. The trail is about 5.5 miles in length and relatively flat. It is open to cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and snowmobilers, as well as hikers, horseback riders, and bikers in the warmer seasons.
